Marmiteks on the wall Sometimes you have a Marmitek LW11 dimmer, an AW10 switch or a SW10 sunroofswitch and you just can't properly build them into the wall. I was faced with such a situation and a found a nice solution for it.		Marmiteks op de muur Mogelijk heb je een Marmitek LW11 dimmer, een AW10 schakelaar of een SW10 zonneschermschakelaar en kan je ze simpelweg niet netjes inbouwen in een muur. Ik was ook met zo'n situatie geconfronteerd en heb uiteindelijk een nette oplossing gevonden.
The materials The dresco line of materials features a box which can be placed on the wall. This box gives you a place to put in in-wall switches like in the normal in-wall boxes. These boxes are 50 milimeter deep, which gives you enough space for the Marmitek X10 in-wall switches.		De materialen De Dresco materialen lijn biedt ook een box welke op de muur geschroef kan worden. Deze box biedt de mogelijkheid om inbouwschakelaars in deze box te plaatsen, net alsof ze in een inbouwdoos geplaatst zouden zijn. Deze dozen zijn 50 milimeter diep, wat genoeg diepte biedt aan de Marmitek X10 inbouwschakelaars.
Two of the boxes in there original packaging. These boxes were designed to place in-wall switches, in such a box, as a surface mounted switch.			Twee boxen in hun oorspronkelijke verpakking. Deze boxen zijn ontworpen om inbouwschakelaars, in zo'n box, als opbouw te plaatsen.
Coupling together The boxes can be coupled together to two, three or four-fold boxes. The result is a large box, which can be used in exactly the same way as a serie of in-wall boxes. In fact are this surface-mounted in-wall boxes, which can hold any normal in-wall component like a swich, an 220 Volt outlet or a network outlet.		Koppelen De boxen kunnen aan elkaar gekoppeld worden tot twee-, drie- of vier-voudige dozen. Het resultaat in een langwerpige box die op precies dezelfde manier als een serie inbouwdozen gebruikt kan worden. In feite zijn dit gewoon opgebouwde inbouwdozen, waarin alle normale inbouwcomponenten geplaatst kunnen worden, zoals stopcontacten, inbouwschakelaars of netwerkaansluitpunten.
Two boxes can be coupled together to form a larger, double box with place for two switches. Both sides of a box can be removed. There are also removable openings for the tubes with the electric wires.			Twee boxen kunnen worden gekoppeld tot een dubbele inbouwdoos. Beide zijkanten van de box kunnen verwijderd worden. Er zijn ook verwijderbare uitsparingen voor de buizen met de electrakabels.
Two boxes coupled together. Three- or four-fold couplings are also possible.			Twee boxen gekoppeld. Drie- of viervoudige koppelingen zijn eveneens mogelijk.
Installation Becouse of the sqare form of the boxes and there size, installing the switches is easier as in in-wall boxes. Thanks to the square form, more space is available at the sides of the switches, leaving more space for the wires.		Installatie Vanwege de vierkante vorm van de boxen en hun afmetingen is het installaren van de schakelaars eenvoudiger dan in normale inbouwdozen. Danzij de vierkante vorm is er naast de schakelaars meer ruimte voor draden.

Let op de volgorde van de installatie: eerst het metalen raam, dan de afdekplaat gevolg door de schakelaar en tenslotte de schakelaarkap.
Finishing up These boxes can be used in the very same way in-wall boxes are used. This also means the Dresco trimplates can be used, as described in in wall switches. Although the resulting box is a bit big, and not as nice in-wall mounting, there is not much difference with commercially availble surface mounted switches.		Afronding Eenmaal op een wand geplaatst kunnen deze boxen op dezelfde manier gebruikt worden als normale inbouwdozen. Dat betekend dat ook de Dresco afdekplaten gebruikt kunnen worden, zoals beschreven in inbouwschakelaars. Hoewel de dozen wat aan de grote kant zijn, en zeker niet zo mooi als echte inbouw, is er weinig verschil met normale opbouwschakelaars.
